Our CBD based, financial services client has a requirement for a Project Manager / Business Analyst to join their team on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid position that will utilise your project management and business analysis skills.  The purpose of the role is to assist with a large program of work that focuses on replacing legacy systems, that will include major upgrades of core business applications as well as in-house developed solutions that will improve efficiency and drive business benefit.

Ideally, we are looking for people with the following:
  • Minimum of 5 years business analysis experience
  • Previous experience project managing software development and software upgrade projects
  • Previous experience working in the financial services sector
  • Extensive Business Process Modelling experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deal confidently with all levels of the business
  • Ability to work closely with project specialist and developers to implement solutions as required.
The duties of the role will include:
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders and manage expectations;
  • Work with users to formulate and document business and functional requirements and processes
  • Identify, evaluate and document inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, system functionality and behaviour
  • Develop and document high level solutions designs and functional specifications to deliver process improvement or to meet business requirements;
  • Assist in the identification, assessment and selection of suitable 3rd party solutions to meet business needs;
  • Use project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to cost, resource and manage projects
  • Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system
  • Creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training classes if required
  • Using data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
  • Undertake ad-hoc troubleshooting and support for user queries, system issues and simple application issues;
  • Assist in realising business and cost efficiencies and continuous improvement;
