Are you a strong front-end developer? Had good exposure to .NET back-end? Want to become a true full stack developer whilst working with the latest most up to date technologies such as Angular and React whilst backed up with C# on a Coreframework hosted by Microsoft Azure? If so, keep reading!
What you’ll be doing: You’ll be based in Fortitude Valley working for a company whose mission is to help ex-service people and their families in times of need, something they’ve been doing for over 100 years.
Job wise, you’ll be working with the Core Framework hosted by Azure, using on the client side Angular and React and on the server side C#.
You’ll typically be hands on with single page applications, so factor in working with JQuery and AJAX too as well as JSON for data interchanging. They build these in WebForms and build applications in WinForms/WPF; their IDE is Visual Studio. Their CMS is Sitecore, so something you’ll really get the opportunity to be hands on with. Another thing to know, you’ll get the opportunity to work in a DevOps environment, so with what you’ve already read, you can see straight off the bat that this is a company who are modern, forward thinking and probably going to be brilliant for you to have on your resume.
Salary wise, if you’re right for them and them for you, you could get a package of up to $110,000 + Super.
A bit about you: Your background will have been with front-end client technologies and you’ll have had exposure with back-end .NET, C#. You don’t need to be an expert in this area but you'll have a firm understanding of the essential basics on the server side.
This is a role where you’ll really become an all rounder, a full stack developer. The job market is really moving favouring full stack developers and so the opportunity to become full stack in a commercial environment using the latest technologies could be a great opportunity for you. There will be a lot of learning, so attitude and desire to make that transition from being a mainly front-end developer with a bit of server side experience to a true full stack developer is key.
